Meet the Artist

Rmsina Daniel is a Sydney-based artist born in 1997 in Baghdad, Iraq, to Assyrian parents. She graduated from the National Art School in 2020 with a Bachelor of Fine Art, specialising in Sculpture. Daniel is currently undertaking a Master’s degree in Secondary Education while actively exhibiting and producing new work.

She has been a participant in the Artist-in-Residence program at Sydney Olympic Park Armory since 2021, where she continues to develop her artmaking practice. Her awards include the M16 Artspace Drawing Prize (Highly Commended, 2025), inclusion in the National Art School Collection through the New Acquisition For The National Art School Collection (2020), and the Dr John Vallance Prize for Sculpture (2019).

Daniel currently works as a visual art teacher at Mount St Joseph College, Milperra, and teaches general and academic drawing at Vision Lap Art and Design Studio in Summer Hill.
